Glenn: You have to elect a President and Vice President together, right? It wasn't intended that way originally. Is that correct.Woody: Yes, they are a line item together now, but it used to be the first place and second place vote getters (pre two-party system). So, the President and Vice President could be from different parties. Check out 12th ammendment.
